School Board Appoints ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app Community High School and Escuela Key Principals
The ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app School Board appointed Jeannette Allen and Frances Lee as Principals of ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app Community High School and Escuela Key at its July 8 meeting.
School Board Elects Mary Kadera as Chair
The ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app School Board held its annual organizational meeting for the 2024-25 school year and elected Mary Kadera as Chair and Bethany Zecher Sutton as Vice Chair.
School Board Chair: Budget Drop-In Hours
Over the next several months, the School Board will be working closely with the Superintendent, ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app staff, the Budget Advisory Council, and others to get ahead of a projected FY26 budget shortfall and develop a more sustainable budget going forward.

Other Ways to Engage with the School Board
- Meet with a Board member during School Board Open Office Hours.
- School Board members are generally available to meet with small groups or individuals to discuss issues or positions by appointment — call 703-228-6015.
- Community members who wish to speak at a School Board meeting must sign up electronically. Speakers will have up to two minutes to address the School Board.
